Description of Duties:

 

Provide input to and develop: Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), Economic Analyses (EA), Budgeting, Forecasting, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Scenario Analysis, and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) through data collection and normalization, research, methodology development, modeling, cost risk analysis, briefing and documenting work. Provide cost analysis support for products such as Logistics Requirements Funding Summaries (LRFS), Depot Level Source of Repair Analyses, and Business Case Analyses (BCA) using appropriate tools and models including MS Excel, ACEIT, SEER, PRICE, Crystal Ball, and @Risk.

This support shall be conducted in accordance with industry best practices and as described in the MARCORSYSCOM Cost Analysis Guidebook, MILSTD 881C, OSD Operating and Support Cost Estimating Guide, DoD 5000.4, GAO Cost Estimating and Assessment Guide, and SECNAVINST 5223.2.

 

Requirements for the Position:

 

•Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or Business.

•2+  years experience in data collection and cost analysis.

•Strong quantitative skills, particularly statistics and financial analysis.

•Data modeling experience.

•Ability to work well both independently, as well as part of a team effort.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in foreign area study, international relations, political science, history, national security studies, international trade, business, economics, finance, computer science, engineering, WMD technologies, or proliferation. Strong academic credentials in network analysis, stateless organizations, or intelligence analysis are a plus. For some specialties, a master’s or advanced technical degree may be required. Foreign language proficiency is highly desired. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale is required.

Competitive candidates typically will have higher GPAs, relevant experience, and strong oral expression and writing skills, including the demonstrated ability to write concise prose.
