Description of Duties:
Position will support the Common Systems Integration (CSI) Product Office New Equipment Training (NET) Team, located at Redstone Arsenal, AL with travel throughout CONUS and OCONUS.
Plan and execute training programs of instruction (POIs) for the One System Remote Video Terminal (OSRVT) at fielding locations as required. Plan and execute training programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, and on-the-job training. Analyze training needs to improve existing training programs.
Requirements for the Position:
•High School Diploma.
•7 years relevant experience.
•Experience training end users and Soldiers is required.
•Proficient with using MS Office applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•Position requires strong communication and briefing skills.
•Experience operating the One System Remote Video Terminal is preferred.
•US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (Secret). Must have an active Secret Clearance.
•Must be available to travel as required.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Director of Technical Operations in our Seattle office. As a member of the Technical Department, the Director Technical is responsible for maintenance and operation of all technical equipment onboard the Company’s fleet of vessels as assigned. Provide technical support to the shore-based Technical Team, supporting deck and engine purchasing activities and be responsible for the relevant part of the assigned vessel’s budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The employee is expected to perform each essential duty to a high standard as expected by the Company.
• Plans and schedules maintenance, engineering work, drydockings and wet dockings.
• Assist VP Fleet Operations to streamline drydock planning, shipyard bids, development of drydock processes, drydock cost review including historical and present, etc.
• Assist in the planning and scheduling of refurbishments in cooperation with VP Fleet Operations, and/or Director of Shipboard Services. Lead and direct same for Port Engineers as assigned.
• Maintains and reviews shipboard reports from Chief Engineers to the office, including Equipment Status Reports, Preventative Maintenance Program Reports (NS-5), Survey Reports, Certificates, Drawings, Instruction Manuals, Vital Spare Parts List, Incident Reports, RAMPS and ensure these and all other Technical documentation are up to date and kept in good order.
• Must be familiar with and carries out ISM and Company’s SMS responsibilities.
• Supports the ships to comply with Class, Flag State, SOLAS, USCG and Company’s SMS requirements. Any concerns must be relayed immediately to VP Fleet Operations.
• Ensure safe and optimal technical maintenance/operations as well as economical operation of the ships including responsibility for the management of the budget.
• Analyzes and tracks each vessel’s scheduled lube oil sample reports and communicates the findings back to each ship and VP Fleet Operations in a timely manner.
• Visit ships having specific problems, direct and assist shipboard management with problem solving .
• Review periodically and as needed with VP Fleet Operations and Marine Operations Director that deck and engine manning is adequate and up to standards.
• Responsible to provide to VP Fleet Operations a brief monthly summary and a complete semi-annual condition report for each ship.
• Conducts ship checks and develops specifications for dry-docking and repair periods.
• Ensure drydock reports are completed in a timely manner.
• For all electrical, audio and video matters to direct and work closely with Electrical Port Engineer.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
PURCHASING
• Purchases and tracks all vital deck and engine spare parts, providing backup, assistance and technical guidance to the Technical Purchasing Manager.
• Must review and approve all requisitions and purchase orders from deck and engine shipboard.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience
Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or Chief Engineer License with experience on passenger vessels or equivalent. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or non degree technical certification may be considered on a case to case basis depending on previous experience.
Other Skills/Abilities:
Proficient computer skills in the Windows operating system, including word-processing and spread sheet applications.
Strong skills in time management, handling multi tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
The ability to work independently and must communicate well with others in a team environment.
Occasional travel will be required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee will also be required to write and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds, moving items in warehouse.
The duties of the job require that the employee visit the Company’s ships for inspections and supervising repair, maintenance and modification projects afloat and/or in dry dock. During these visits the employee must be able to access all areas of the vessel, which may involve going up and down ladders on multiple decks, entry into cramped and confined spaces such as tanks, and entry into machinery spaces that are hot and noisy.
