Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) expertise in support of Fleet Synthetic Training- Aviation (FST-A) events at Naval Aviation Distributed Training Center (NADTC) in San Diego, CA. Develop ASW aspects of training scenarios, create, test and employ Modeling and Simulation (M&S) playfiles for events, role-play aviation platforms and other units as required, and provide feedback to event instructors.
Minimum Tangible Qualifications:
- “Secret” level clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Tactical aviation experience in planning, implementation and execution of real-world or simulated ASW tactics and unit employment (for example: MH-60R, SH-60B, P-3/P-8 aviator, flight officer or aircrew; Operations Specialist qualified as Anti-Submarine Tactical Air Controller (ASTAC) or Sea Combat Air Controller (SCAC))
- Experience implementing ASW tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
- Experience integrating ASW training objectives into an ASW-focused warfare exercise
- Experience with aviation simulator employment in ASW training
- Experience operating warfare training M&S systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with M&S system scenario scripting, verification, and validation
- Experience with M&S scenario execution and adjusting scenario events and timelines in a real-time dynamic tactical operation environment;
- Experience with Fleet Synthetic Training or other distributed training
