The University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan Campus is seeking an experienced mariner to serve as an Assistant Professor of Marine Transportation to teach maritime classes at the UAS Maritime Training Center in Ketchikan, Alaska. The program operates from a well-equipped Maritime Training Center. The position is a full-time 9-month term position. We are looking for a skilled instructor, who likes teaching, is highly motivated, and who works well with a variety of constituents, from students and faculty to industry partners. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills; basic computer skills Must have an A.A. or A.A.S. or a combination of education and experience w/current relevant certifications. Must have the ability to be approved to teach USCG classes. Salary commensurate with experience. No other notice will be given. This position will remain open until filled.
